All CIAG delivered at St Peter's is compliant with the DfE Technical Guidance January 2018 and the Technical and Further Education Act 2017. All advice:
· is presented in an impartial manner, showing no bias or favouritism towards a particular institution, education or work option;
· includes information on the range of education or training options, including apprenticeships and technical education routes;
· is guidance that the person giving it considers will promote the best interests of the pupils to whom it is given.
Mrs Hutchinson leads our C.I.A.G. with bespoke services for all students, she is available in the careers office for students and parents to book appointments As part of the school's careers provision, students also have access to services provided by Foundation For Jobs who offer high standard, independent, bespoke guidance to every student throughout Year 11.
Students also have access to a wide variety of careers based literature in the careers library. Prospectuses from all of the local colleges (Prior Pursglove, Redcar & Cleveland, CCAD, Middlesbrough, Askham Bryan and Stockton Riverside) are always available for students to take away with them alongside an array of vocational literature detailing routes through apprenticeships and traineeships. Prospectuses from universities across the country are also available.
Over the course of the year there will be assemblies, drop in sessions, workshops and more with representatives from our local colleges, universities, apprenticeship and traineeship providers and others, focusing on a wide range of careers and courses.

Students of any year group, with any form of question or query regarding careers, should come along to the careers office during form, at break, at lunch or after school, where Mrs Hutchinson will be happy to help.
