Dear Parent/Carer,

As we reach the end of this autumn term, I write to thank you for your faithful support and to share some notices for this week and the spring term.

There have been so many events and student successes this term that we are extremely proud of, far too many to give due credit to in this letter. These will therefore be highlighted in the January edition of our Academy publication "The Key". Advent, "waiting for the coming of Christ", is a special time in our Christian calendar during which we undertake a journey of self-reflection and endeavour to make a fresh start in the New Year.

We break for Christmas in this third week of advent that starts with 'Gaudete' Sunday, a Latin word meaning to show joy or rejoice. I look forward to seeing joy and festivity in the events planned around the academy this week. The fruit of much hard work on the parts of both staff and students.

At this often busy and sometimes challenging time of year, I pray that you and your families find time to pause and experience the great peace and joy that exists in the miracle of Christmas.

We hold every student in our academy before God in our prayers throughout this most holy season and ask you in turn to pray for our academy community too.

Yours sincerely

Mrs Z.S.Hammond
