Welcome

At St Peter’s Catholic Voluntary Academy we unlock our students potential. Excellence is an expectation and we expect 100% of our students to leave St Peters secure in the love of God and equipped with the skills, confidence and character to compete with their contemporaries (at a national and international level) and to lead successful and happy lives.

How do we do it:

We combine traditional standards and high expectations for behaviour and uniform with an ethos in which there are no excuses for engagement in learning and no limits for performance.

Students lead in the Academy, playing a key part in its growth and role within the wider community. Our well trained student council are given opportunities to debate key decisions and demonstrate leadership.

Our students are challenged continually to consider how they can use their gifts and education to serve and benefit others and have a positive impact upon the future of Middlesbrough and wider society.

The governors and staff are strongly committed to providing an outstanding education for our students within the context of the Catholic Faith. This is achieved by modelling the actions, values and expectations, as informed by the teachings and life of Jesus.

I am honoured as Headteacher to lead and serve St Peter’s Academy through in being the Good News for Middlesbrough and beyond and I would be delighted to welcome you into our community if you would like to take a look around the Academy.

Mrs Z Hammond
